Demokráciajáték leírása

A Tálentum-napon (és a megelőző hetekben) egy igen sikeres demokrácia játszottunk a gimnáziummal. A feladat szerint minden osztály alakított egy pártot hetekkel a projektnap előtt. A párt az intézményt fejlesztő, reálisan megvalósítható programot készített, majd kampány kezdődött, amely egészen a projektnapig tartott. Ezen a napon az osztályok képviselői pár percben előadhatták javaslataikat, lehetőség volt vitára, végül a napot szavazás, majd eredményhirdetés zárta. A demokráciajáték sikerét az is mutatja, hogy igény mutatkozott egy utórendezvényre, amelyen iskolánk vezetősége és tanárai is megvitatták a nyertes javaslatokat és azok megvalósíthatóságát az érdeklődő diákokkal. A rendezvény során a tanulók megoszthatták ötleteiket, és – ha nem is lehetséges mindegyiket megvalósítani – érezték, hogy számít a véleményük.

Íme a feladat angol leírása:
Age group: high school, 14-18
Aim:
 Make students become familiar with the principles of democracy.
 Improving debate-skills and decision-making.
 Help students find their area of expertise.
 Improve student-teacher cooperation in a non-formal leaning environment.
 Promote teamwork and innovation.
 Offer students a glimpse into the school’s management.
Tools needed:
 A certain amount of money provided for each class (party) to spend it on the campaign
 Projector and ICT tools
 Voting system

Tasks

1. Each class creates a “political party” that is fighting for improving the school.
2. Each party writes a programme and has 2 weeks to launch a campaign (posters, leaflets, videos, personal meetings). The campaign is censored by a teacher. The programme must be realistic and applicable to the school (e.g. canteen, length of breaks, project days, and sport clubs).
3. Representatives of each party present their programmes in front of the whole school. A public debate follows.
4. A vote is held in which each class has 30 mandates.
5. The winner party is announced.
6. Some days after the results are revealed, the school’s management discusses the winning programme with student representatives and select changes that can be introduced.
